Deep in the fjords of Norway, mighty waterfalls cascade into dark waters. Tiny houses sparsely dot the land as goats nibble on nearby grass. It is a place of remarkable beauty that feels almost untouched. My appreciation for colder climates grew when I saw these views and felt the cold mist on my face. My gratitude for places seldom seen also bloomed as I tucked this memory into my mind. To capture this with a paint brush felt like the sweet preservation of a place where my feet may never touch again, but my eyes can revisit by exploring it in the form of a painting.
Have you ever sought out a place to experience the culture and beauty while fulfilling some element of curiosity within... only to be met with more surprise than you could've imagined? Have you ever experienced those moments of awe and wanted to remember that little fragment of time forever? Chasing Wonder is a collection composed of precious slivers of time when feelings of ambition ran high, but reality had a way of catching me by surprise in the most endearing ways. Even freezing atop mountains in the pouring rain, there is something to be appreciated about this lovely world. As an artist, I want to capture those beautiful places and share them with you.
