Flying in a plane is simultaneously humbling and fascinating. It makes me feel small as we ascend further into the clouds. People and cars blur into moving dots until they're out of focus completely. So many people, going about their day to day lives. Dreams converging. How many people are talking at this very moment? How many socks exist on our planet? Surely there's more socks than people. How many houses are in this city? How many people are celebrating, mourning, studying, working, or rocking a newborn baby? So many things can be true at once. So many things can happen at once. And when we zoom out and everything blurs together, it looks peaceful. Still. I think zooming out is healthy sometimes. :)
Have you ever sought out a place to experience the culture and beauty while fulfilling some element of curiosity within... only to be met with more surprise than you could've imagined? Have you ever experienced those moments of awe and wanted to remember that little fragment of time forever? Chasing Wonder is a collection composed of precious slivers of time when feelings of ambition ran high, but reality had a way of catching me by surprise in the most endearing ways. Even freezing atop mountains in the pouring rain, there is something to be appreciated about this lovely world. As an artist, I want to capture those beautiful places and share them with you.
